Average retail gasoline prices in Wisconsin have risen 1.4 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.69 yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 3,112 gas outlets in Wisconsin.
This compares with the national average that has fallen 2.5 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.64, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
Including the change in gas prices in Wisconsin during the past week, prices yesterday were 30.1 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 7.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 9.5 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 21.9 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.
“Average gasoline prices have continued to quietly move lower in the last week across much of the United States at a time of year when we historically are accustomed to seeing prices move higher,” said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. “As of late last week, all 50 states saw lower gasoline prices than the same date last year, and the savings at the pump for motorists – while not staggering – amounts to millions of dollars a day,” DeHaan said.
