According to National Weather Service records from the observation station at the Burlington Municipal Airport, the coldest temperature during this week’s cold snap of 18 degrees below zero was reached at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday. The coldest windchill was recorded at minus-45 degrees at 11:15 a.m. Monday when the air temperature was a frigid minus-16 and winds gusted to 26 MPH out of the west.
