The Union Grove boys volleyball team had a simple mission entering its season – winning a Southern Lakes Conference title.

When the Broncos wrapped up the league championship, tying with Wilmot for the best record in the SLC, they had another objective.

“Our goal at the beginning was to win our conference and that was our goal,” said Jamie Anderson, Union Grove coach. “Once we got that done, we were like, well have to set a new goal, so we said ‘Let’s Go State!”

After drawing a first round bye, and claiming the top-seed, the Broncs mission began with four-set victory against No. 5 Kenosha Indian Trail before moving onto play No. 3 Burlington for a WIAA sectional title on Saturday, Oct. 29 in Burlington.
