The Burlington High School volleyball team cruised to three-set sweep of visiting Wilmot in a Tuesday Southern Lakes Conference match.

The Demons, who defeated the Panthers, 25-9, 25-10, 25-6, improved to 17-3 overall and remained unbeaten in league play at 3-0.

Teri Little, Burlington co-coach, said tempo and efficiency served as key components in Tuesday’s victory.

“As the match went on, the hitters increased their efficiency and found open space and avoided the block,” Little said.

While Ella Safar set the offensive tone, contributing 17 assists and five service aces, the Demons duo of Kenna Kornely and Abby Alan reinforced the front row.

Kornely contributed nine kills along with two digs.

Alan, meanwhile, had six kills and accounted for an impressive .545 hitting percentage.

In total, the Demons registered 16 aces, including three each from Molly Berezowitz and Brynlee Clapp.
