Burlington High School senior Josh Bird was the talk of the city last year at this time.

Along with Waterford’s Max Fisher, the talented athletes became the first area duo to win state wrestling championships in recent memory. Does anyone know the last time it happened?

In honor of this weekend’s WIAA Individual State Wrestling Tournament, let’s take a look back at Bird’s state championship match from March 2015 at the Kohl Center in Madison.

    How about the Burlington wrestlers going to state this year? Where is their video? Don’t they deserve the community support?
