A year that saw the Burlington High School boys tennis team win just one dual all season ended Monday at the WIAA Division 1 Waukesha South subsectional at Heyer Park in Waukesha.

All Demon netters lost in straight sets, meaning that none advanced to sectional competition.

“Just did not come to play today,” head coach Ken Savaglia said. “Just not very good this year. Look forward to guys playing next year.”

The four singles players who failed to advance were Conor Schultz (No. 1), Jon Martin (No. 2), Sam Skrundz (No. 3) and Jorge Escobar (No. 4).

In doubles action, Zach Gesteland and Kyle Crayton at No. 1, Noah Ehlen and Dylan Kleitsch at No. 2, and Dominic James and Kyle Talley at No. 3, saw their season come to an end.
