Team of the Week

Burlington High School girls volleyball: In a tournament that featured arch-rival Westosha Central, the Demon girls did everything they needed to Saturday.

BHS swept Delavan-Darien, Elkhorn and Westosha en route to the Southern Lakes Conference tournament title crown at Union Grove Saturday, beating Westosha 26-24, 25-19, 25-16 in the championship match.

Every Demon player ended up on the stats sheet that suited for the match, with eight players picking up kills, six players assists, and all 13 players at least one dig.

Romo Watch

While the Green Bay Packers seemed to right the ship with a win Sunday night over the Houston Texans, the Dallas Cowboys joined their Texas counterparts in the “loss” column.

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo connected with Dez Bryant on a touchdown with 32 seconds left in the game, but the two-point pass conversion failed.

Dallas recovered the onside kick, but a last-second field goal went wide left. Dallas is now 2-3 overall.

Romo was solid if unspectacular in the victory, connecting on 25 of 36 passes for 261 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
