For the last three years, the Catholic Central High School softball team saw its season ending in the regional finals against Racine Lutheran.

The Lady Toppers weren’t about to let it happen again Friday.

In a game postponed a day because of the weather, the Catholic Central ladies rallied from a 5-0 deficit to post a 10-7 win over Lutheran. CCHS (19-5) advance to the Division 4 sectional semifinals to play Juda/Albany Monday at 5 p.m. at Williams Bay.

CCHS senior Bekah Shellberg put together a huge day, getting the win on the mound without walking a batter. She struck out five, and also went 3-for-3 at the plate.

Catholic Central had just eight hits compared to nine for Lutheran, but took advantage of eight issued walks by the Crusaders. Allie Hocking also had three RBI.
