RUTH D. BUSCH

Ruth D. Busch, 95, peacefully passed away on Feb. 17, 2024, at Arbor View Senior Living in Burlington, surrounded by family. She was born on Sept. 14, 1928, to Henrietta and Frederick Milatz. She dedicated her life to family in her hometown.

Ruth was united in marriage to Francis “Fritz” L. Busch on July 10, 1948, creating a lasting legacy. Fritz preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1992. Ruth was a devoted wife and a caring mother to four children. For 52 years, she called Cedar Park Estates at Brown’s Lake her home, later relocating to Dale Dr. in Burlington in 2000. Her zest for life was evident in her love for playing cards, spending time at Brown’s Lake, traveling with friends and family, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers! Ruth found immense joy when in the company of her four children, 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. She encouraged them to live life to the fullest, to have fun and to be carefree. As the years advanced, challenges with eyesight and hearing emerged, yet Ruth faced them with unwavering dignity and humor, never complaining.

Ruth is survived by her daughter Jan (Edward) Kukol of Highland Village, Texas; and sons Ron (Jill) of Chester, Maryland, Randy (Dot) from Independence, and Rick (Jackie) of Burlington. In addition to her extensive family, she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother Warren (Irene) Milatz; sister Lois (Eugene) Albee; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A heartfelt thank you to the Arbor View Senior Living Staff and Moments Hospice for their compassionate care. Honoring Ruth’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private burial at Burlington Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Ruth was a testament to the love and blessings she received from those who were part of her life. May her vibrant spirit continue to inspire and resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
