ROSE ANN WALSH

It is with deep sorrow we share the death of Rose Ann Walsh of Kansasville. She died peacefully in her home on Dec. 21, 2023. She was born Jan. 2, 1963, to William and Carol (nee Brenton) Walsh. Rose grew up in Kansasville, graduating from St. Mary’s High School in Burlington in 1981. After graduation, the adventurer in her needed to try something new, so she moved to Oklahoma where she lived with her sister, Trish. The economy was booming there, and jobs were plentiful. She bartended and worked at Red Lobster.

Family ties are strong though, and she found herself drawn back to Southeast Wisconsin where her parents, siblings and many other relatives resided. Rose was employed at Lakeview Rehab where she worked as a Speech Therapy Assistant and did the facility billing. She was on the Union Grove Thursday night ladies pool league where she shot for JB’s. She enjoyed treasure hunting, metal detecting, playing cards, reading, watching wildlife, being outdoors and sitting by a blazing bonfire where she enjoyed a cold one.

She loved her fur babies particularly Bernie, Harley and Hazel. Rose had a mischievous streak and could be counted on to have a trick or two up her sleeve. Her unique sense of humor caused many a good belly laugh. At our frequent family gatherings, she was often seen cuddling the nieces and nephews when they were babies. She kept tabs on them when they grew up and was often the center of a group of giggling adolescents.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her nine siblings, Mary (Rick) Markiewicz, Joseph (Anne) Walsh, Jean (Dana) Petersen, Marge Baird, Mike Walsh, Pat Fitzpatrick, Sue Gunderson (Randy Regner), Sean (MaryKay) Walsh and Kate Walsh; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Our Rosie will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
