ROBERTA A. EDMUNDSON

      Roberta A. Edmundson, 86, of Waterford, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024 at Waterford Senior Living.

Roberta was born in Fort Atkinson on May 13, 1937, to Albert and Esther (nee Poutch) Rohloff. Her early life was spent in Fort Atkinson, where she graduated from St. Paul’s Lutheran School and Fort Atkinson High School. On April 26, 1958, she was united in marriage to Everett Edmundson. Following marriage, they made Burlington their home. Everett preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 1995.

Roberta was a registered nurse with Burlington Hospital and Burlington Clinic as a nursing supervisor. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, longtime leader of the Lutheran Girls Pioneers and member of Sweet Adelines. She oversaw the St. John’s Counting Team and was part of the Shepherding Committee. She also was a member of the Tole Painting Society. She loved to paint, crochet and taught piano. She attended and sold many items at craft shows. She was usually found at the scoring table at the boy’s basketball games next to her husband. She could later be found in the front row of the grandma’s section of the bleachers at her grandkid’s games.

Roberta is survived by her son, David (Terri) Edmundson; daughter-in-law, Donna Edmundson; grandchildren, Julie (Kevin) Martin, Laura (Mike) Millard, Heidi Edmundson, Benjamin Edmundson and Joshua Edmundson; great-grandchildren, Emma and Kayla Martin, and Riley Millard; and sister, Sarah (Terry) Zick. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Paul Edmundson and sister Donna (Mel) Mueller.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Waterford Senior Living and Amedisys Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capital Projects at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Services for Roberta were held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Burial took take place following the service at Burlington Cemetery.
