MARGARET ERIN (PEGGY) ADAMS

      Peggy Adams, 60, passed away on Jan. 16, 2024, her family at her side. She fought a courageous fight with cancer and did it her way.

Born Aug. 25, 1963 in Arlington Heights, Ill. Her family relocated to Burlington in 1964. She attended Waller grade school, BJHS and BHS, went on to UW Madison, graduating with a degree in Journalism.

Peggy relocated to Chicago shortly after and pursued an active career in the hospitality industry, as well as graphic design and interior design. Interest in cooking led to a part-time catering business, specializing in private parties. She was artistically talented and enjoyed “redecorating” her apartment frequently during her 37 years of residency in the same apartment.

Peggy is survived by her mother, Audrey Adams, sisters Leslie (Ken) Ehrlenbach, Wendy (Scott) Wasilevich and brother Mark (Jeanne) Adams. Nieces Erin, Haley and Bryn and nephew Scott (Bubba). Also, great nieces Nova and Charlie and great nephews Grayson, Roman, Reese and Lane.

Especially missed by her loving, caring partner Mark Spear, who was with her throughout her illness.

Peggy traveled extensively across the country in her lifetime. She and Mark traveled to Italy and India. She also enjoyed Germany, England and France, and was always ready for new experiences.

Preceded in death by her father Douglas Adams, grandfather Theodore, grandmother Helen, Aunt Sue and Uncle Leo.

There will be gathering of family and friends on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024 at The Loop Commons, 488 Milwaukee Ave., Burlington, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
