KENNETH KONKOL

      Kenneth Konkol, of Orlando, Florida, and formerly of Kansasville and Minneapolis, passed away Wednesday, Dec 27, 2023, at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Kenneth was born in Stevens Point on Nov. 16, 1948, to Raymond and Loretta (nee Treba) Konkol. He grew up in Kansasville and graduated from Burlington High School with the class of 1966. Ken enlisted in the Navy and worked as an electrical technician. Following active duty, he attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Parkside and had a career in Electrical Engineering.

Ken was a Sci-Fi fanatic and member of Mensa International. He attended many Sci-Fi conventions. He loved reading, collecting comic books and watching movies.

Ken is survived by his three children, Jon, Kristine and Rosemarie; and seven siblings, Barb Dyer, Cliff (Deb) Konkol, Steve (Cheryl Namyst) Konkol, Jeff (Nancy) Konkol, Dave (Denise) Konkol, Arlene (Val) Zabielski, Gerri (Jim) Michals. He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant sisters, Corinne and Mary.

Mass of Christian Burial for Ken was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dover on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024. Burial with Military Honors will followed in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
