Jeanne I. Hoppe, 91, of Burlington, passed away Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, at Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa.

Jeanne was born in Burlington on July 9, 1932, to Daniel and Irene (nee Rhodes) Delaney. Her early life was spent in Burlington, where she graduated from Burlington High School. On Sept. 17, 1955 at St. Mary Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Eugene Hoppe. They continued to reside in Burlington after marriage. Eugene preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2011.

While her grandson was deployed overseas, she enjoyed baking and sending baked goods to the troops and loved being a grandma.

Jeanne is survived by her son, Daniel (Stephanie Ashley) Hoppe; grandchildren, Douglas (Maddie), Michael and Karl (Rachel); and great-granddaughter, Margot. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Patrick and Daniel.
