While studying for her degree she enjoyed working on the family farm. After graduation, she worked as a secretary taking testimony for the IRS in Milwaukee.

In 1978, she moved to San Francisco and took a job as a secretary to one of the vice presidents at the Federal Reserve Bank. In 1981 she transferred to the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank. She was promoted to Vice President of Check Operations. Later, she worked in the same position for LaSalle Bank and ABN Amro Bank, retiring in 2007.

Diane was an avid reader, enjoying history and biographies. She would often travel to the places she read about. She traveled for work and pleasure all over the United States, South Africa, and Europe.

Diane was also an excellent photographer. She kept the history of our lives through her photographs. Diane and her husband attended their grandchildren’s, nieces’ and nephews’ many sporting and school events, taking pictures of them all. At family gatherings, she would take pictures and share copies often with the full names and birthdates of those in the photos written on the back.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband on July 29, 2023. She was also preceded by her father and brother, Dan Noble.

She is survived by her stepchildren Nicole (Zak) Jarrell, Chad (Traci) Furbee, and Carly (Christopher) Williams; her grandchildren Owen, Emerson, Eli and Xavier Jarrell, Charlie, and Cameron Furbee; and Tyson and Roman Williams all of Naperville.

She is further survived by her mother, sisters Bonnie (Jim) Stowell, Barbara (Mark) Hartmann and Julie (Michael May) Noble; brother Dale (Lynn) Noble; and sister-in-law Mary Noble; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews all of Wisconsin.

Diane was a generous spirit who cared deeply about her family and was a joy to be with. We are all inspired by the way she lived her life and treated others. She is greatly missed.

There will be a private burial at a later date at Eagle Creek Religious Society Cemetery near Burlington.
