MICHAEL A. HALLMAN

      Michael A. Hallman, 81, of Waterford, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the Aurora Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant.

Michael was born on July 24, 1941, in Chicago, to Anthony F. and Ann Elizabeth (nee Neylon) Hallman. His early life was spent in Chicago. He graduated from Three Lakes High School and from Waukesha Area Technical College with an associate degree in Appliance Repair.

On Feb. 20, 1965, in Milwaukee, Michael was united in marriage to Phyllis Kathryn (nee Shaffer) Hallman. Following their marriage, they lived in Milwaukee. They then moved to Tichigan where they were residents for over 50 years.

Michael worked as a service technician for Western Union. He also owned and operated Hallman Appliances and later worked as a janitor for Waterford Union High School.

Michael loved being in the woods, hiking, hunting, birdwatching, and being on the lake. He was a self-made repairman, teaching himself how to fix almost anything. He avidly listened to music, played the trumpet, and enjoyed singing with his family.

Michael served in the United States Army, where he spent time in Italy while serving.

Michael is survived by his children, Charity A. (Ron Kowalski) Faulkner, Michael A. Hallman, Rebecca J. (Heriberto) Reyes, and Earlene S. Donner; daughter in-law, Maria Gogo; grandchildren Cassandra (Joe), Richard (Samantha), Jean, Peter, Gabriella (Casey), Ronald, Elizabeth (Dawn), Gina (James), Michelle (Paul), Michael, Darian, Anthony, Yasaynia, Angelene, Lilliana, Kathryn, Molly, and Josalyn; and great grandchildren Riley, Emma, Madyson, Rowan, Rene, Allysia, Raina, Shayla, Amara, Milan, and Ha’Ani. Michael is further survived by his siblings, Anita Kowalski, Anthony (Dawn) Hallman and Luke Hallman; and his sister-in-law Janice Hallman.

Michael is preceded by his parents Anthony and Ann, son Matthew A. Hallman and brother Joseph Hallman.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his daughter Rebecca Reyes.

There will be a celebration of life on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 2 until 6 p.m. at Meyer Park in Wind Lake Wisconsin.
