MARJORIE DANIELS WEISS

Marjorie Daniels Weiss of Neenah, cherished wife, loving mother, adored grandmother and beloved friend, passed away on Oct. 29, 2023, at the age of 72 after a brief illness. Born in Burlington on July 3, 1951, to Rich and Doris Daniels, Margie was the oldest of 14 siblings. Family was a central part of her life with 12 grandchildren, 50 nieces/nephews and 73 great nieces/nephews. You could always find her busy baking “Margie Cookies” or knitting a baby afghan for visitors and family.

Margie pursued her education at Milwaukee School of Nursing (MSOE), UW-Oshkosh and University of Minnesota where she achieved a PHD in Nursing and MBA while raising four children.

She had a strong sense of family and was proud of her involvement in many community organizations such as, St. Margaret Mary Parish, St. Mary Catholic Schools, Neenah Rotary, St. Joseph Food Pantry, St. Elizabeth Hospital Foundation, Menasha Corporation Foundation, Fox Valley Technology Foundation, Fox Cities LIFE Study and others. Margie formed Weiss Health Group focusing on working with several prominent companies to share best practices in the areas of Health, Safety, Sustainability and Stewardship.

Margie received many awards and was proud to be an Athena award recipient and a Paul Harris Fellowship to name a few. She was also the first female president of the Neenah Rotary.

Margie and Jim met the evening before they were paired up in their best friend’s wedding and celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary this past June.

Margie is survived by her husband Jim; her four children: Patrick (Kelly) Weiss, Katie (Billy) Escribano, David (Beka) Weiss, and Molly (Kevin) Roth; and twelve grandchildren, Sammi, Emmi and Ben Weiss, Liam and Violet Escribano, Fritz, Ady, Leo and Letti Weiss, and Elizabeth, Henry and Natalie Roth.

Marge was preceded in death by her infant son Paul and her parents Rich and Doris Daniels.

The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St., Neenah, with Fr. Nonito Barra and Fr. Jim Volkert concelebrating. The visitation will be held at Neenah’s Westgor Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 5 from 4 p.m. until a Parish prayer service at 6:45 p.m. Visitation again at the church Monday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Jim and Margie Weiss Family Fund (at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region) that supports St. Mary Catholic Schools and St. Joseph Food Pantry.
