Iona M. Arnon, daughter of Frank and Alma Konieska, passed away on Nov. 26, 2023 at her home in Hazelhurst. She was 86.
Iona is survived by sisters, Lenora (Joe) Newago of Ashland, Violet Neil of Burlington, Eunice (Don) Shilts of Eau Claire, and Laurel Castellanos of Wesley Chapel, Florida; brother Frank (Gloria) Konieska of Burlington; children, George (Nancy) Ledin of Britt, Minnesota, Kathy Powers of Amarillo, Texas, Susan (Dale) Pritchard of Hazelhurst, and Carolyn (Cecil) Monteith of Kennan; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Albert, former husband and father of her children George Ledin, sister Elaine Ackley, son-in-law Robert Powers, brother-in-laws Howard Ackley, Ray Castellanos and Skip Neil, and infant daughter Judy.
There will be no services or visitation. A celebration of life is being scheduled for mid-spring. Further information will be provided by the family.
