LANDEN J. BROWN

      On Sunday, May 28, 2017, God said, “Well done my good and faithful son” and called home Landen Josiah Brown in a tragic car accident.

He was born in Burlington on May 7, 1997, the beloved son of Marlo and Samantha (Straube-Fors) Brown. He was a longtime resident of Burlington.

Landen had a heart for God and everything he did was in honor of Him. He loved people and lived life to the fullest. He was a youth leader at church and an aspiring youth pastor. He was a mentor, drummer, voice percussionist, singer, and actor.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, watching movies, and playing video games. He was part of the drama club while in high school and enjoyed both watching and playing sports, especially basketball and football.

Landen was a graduate of Burlington High School and he had just finished his sophomore year of college at University of Wisconsin – Parkside where he was a member of Parkside Range. He worked at The Coffee House at Chestnut and Pine in Burlington and loved interacting with the staff and customers.

Survivors include his parents; grandparents, Wallace and Joyce Brown; siblings, Breeanna Brown, Jordan Brown, Thia Brown; close family friend, Cain Gann; aunts, Rhonda Park, Lisa (Sondiata) McKeithan, Anne (John) Spahr, Jennifer (Greg) Kersten; uncles, Paul Straube, and Eric (Laurie) Fors; cousins, Carisa Mack, Nick Houston, Riley Park, Richard Park, Kathleen Straube, Madelin (Steven) VonAsten, Paul Straube, David Straube and Meaghan Fors.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Kathleen Fors; great-grandfather, George Thoennes and great grandmother, Irma Green.

Services for Landen are Saturday, June 3, at 3 p.m., at Burlington High School auditorium. Family and friends may visit the family on June 3, from 1-2:45 p.m., at BHS Commons area. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
