William J. ‘Bill’ Baas, 79, Big Bend, died March 15, 2016, in the company of his family after a courageous battle.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jeanne (Raccoli); children, Jennifer, Suzanne, Carin and Thomas; sister, Vivian; brothers, James and John; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Robert and Arnold.
Bill was a long time member of the Waterford School system, serving in a variety of capacities. He was also very active at St. Joseph Church and School.
Visitation is at the Max A. Sass & Sons Westwood Chapel on Monday, March 21, from 4-7 p.m., and also on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, S89 W22650 Milwaukee Ave., Big Bend, from 10-10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial is in Rural Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Bill’s name may be made to St. Joseph Church, Big Bend, or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
