Theresa Frances Baumgartner died Oct. 10, 2016, at Froedtert hospital, Milwaukee. She had fought hard against her long battle of multiple sclerosis.
She was born to the late Phillip and Gloria Scholer in Chicago, as were her brothers Phillip (deceased) and Robert. She was later raised and schooled in Burlington.
She married Richard Baumgartner Nov. 6, 1970. Together they raised four daughters Theresa, Patricia, Christina, and Rebecca. She had six granddaughters, three grandsons, and one great-granddaughter, three nephews and one niece.
She enjoyed raising her children, cooking, sewing, her time in the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, bird and wildlife viewing, fishing, camping, off road adventure, and stock car races.
Theresa was a loving wife, mother, grand- and great-grandmother, aunt and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was indeed a very special lady.
A private family memorial will be held in La Crosse near the Mississippi river she so loved and enjoyed fishing with her husband.
