He married Lynn M. Koetterhagen on Sept. 29, 1979, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Waterford. He retired from United Parcel Service after 35 years of service. He was known for his famous quote, “I love my job.” He received national recognition for accumulating more than 30 years of safe driving. After retirement he felt the need to keep busy, working part-time at Lake Geneva Country Meats.
