RODNEY J. GRETEBECK

Easter Lily      Rodney J. Gretebeck, 55, died Aug. 25, 2016, in his home in Reno, Nev. He was born July 20, 1961, to Dr. Sanford and Lois (Dickman) Gretebeck, in Warrensburg, Mo.

He grew up and attended schools in Burlington. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He furthered his studies in the field of health and worked as a respiratory therapist for 30 years.

He loved the outdoors and in his leisure time he enjoyed his boat on the waterways around Lake Tahoe. Before his health began to fail he could be found camping, hiking, fishing or hunting in the mountains of Eastern California. Another of his great interests was his participation in the challenging enterprise of real estate.

Survivors include his parents; sisters, Dr. Ronda (Dr. William) Gretebeck-Jackline, Ranel Gretebeck, Rachel (Richard) Gretebeck-Peterson; and brother, Dr. Randall (Dr. Kimberlee) Gretebeck.

A private family memorial will take place at a later date.

If you wish, a memorial to the Muscular Dystrophy Association would be appreciated.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Rod’s co-workers, friends and neighbors who shared his life and who were a great help at the time of his sudden passing.
