ROBERT E. O’LEARY

Easter Lily

Robert E. O’Leary, 85, Waterford, died July 24, 2016, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.

He was born June 10, 1931, in Whitefish Bay, to the late John J. and Josephine (Lang) O’Leary. He spent his early life in Whitefish Bay, graduating from Marquette High School before going on to attend Marquette University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955.

On Feb. 14, 1953, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Milwaukee, he married Alice Jane Faber. Following marriage they made their home in Milwaukee where they raised their family before moving to Waterford 45 years ago.

He was a successful salesman and entrepreneur. He was the owner of Job Lot Products, a metal brokering company. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dover. He was a very kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was always generous with his time, love, and affection. Bob will be remembered as a man who was a friend to all. He enjoyed playing the organ and piano and spending time with his family and friends. He delighted us all with his great sense of humor and Irish wit. He will be greatly missed and will remain forever in our hearts.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years; children, Deborah (Michael) Teglia, Belgium, Kristine (Thomas) Kleist, Buffalo, Minn., Michael (Anita) O’Leary, Waukesha, Elizabeth (Kevin) Sippel, Burlington, Cynthia (Thomas) Gresl, Red Granite, Colleen (Daniel) Buss, Stevens Point, Roberta (Daniel) Markey, Mt. Pleasant, Matthew O’Leary, Waterford, Patricia (Jeffrey) Erickson, Kansasville; 50 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was further preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 30, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – Dover with the Rev. Russell Arnett presiding. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on July 30, from 9-10:30 a.m., at church.
