RICHARD R. LILE

Easter Lily      Richard R. Lile, 69, Elkhorn, died Sept. 8, 2016, at home following a battle against pancreatic cancer.

He was born on Aug. 21, 1947, in Milwaukee, to the late Robert and Helen (Kronberger) Lile. He was 1965 graduate of Burlington High School.

He married Jean Powell on May 4, 1968, in Burlington. He loved the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, and Wisconsin Badgers. He was huge fan of TV game shows; Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Price is Right. He loved rock music and had an unrivaled knowledge of 60s and 70s music. He played golf throughout his life and also baseball, softball, basketball, biking and bowling. In retirement, he became a master griller and great chef.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years; children, Scott (Carrie) Lile, Colorado, Jaime (Brooke) Lile, Elkhorn, and Nikki Lile, Delavan; grandchildren, Tuck, Zack, Paul, Jake, Bryn, Kyrin and Nicklyn; brother, Bruce (Sharon) Lile, Burlington; sister-in-law, Maggie Lile, Burlington; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was further preceded in death by his brothers, Jack, Robert and Donald Lile.

Memorial service is 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 15, at First Congregational Church, 76 S. Wisconsin St., Elkhorn, with the Rev. Dr. Scott McLeod officiating. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14, at First Congregational Church and 10 a.m., until service time on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Richard’s name to First Congregational Church or Lakeland Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 1000. Elkhorn WI 53121. Haase-Lockwood Funeral Homes and Crematory, Elkhorn, is serving the family.
