RALPH COLANO JR.

Easter Lily      Ralph Colano Jr., 74, Waterford, died unexpectedly Jan. 15, 2016, at his residence. He was born Sept. 25, 1941, in Chicago, to the late Ralph Angelo and Theresa Marie (Urso) Colano. He graduated from Nile’s Township High School in Skokie, Ill. He worked in retail sales most of his life.

He loved all kinds of sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and Bears and international soccer. He also had a fondness for country music and old movies and was an expert at sports trivia.

He grew up in Skokie and remained there until he was 20. He then moved to Chicago where he lived for 40 years, and resided the past 14 years in Waterford.

Survivors include his brother, Vito (Margaret) Colano; sister, Grace Perkins; nephew, Richard Colano; nieces, Linda Colano, Susan (Jeff) Lewis; grand-nephews, Vito Colano, Vincent Colano, and David Lewis.

He was further preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Charles Perkins, and nephew, Steven Perkins.

A memorial gathering is Saturday, Jan. 23, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W. Main St., Waterford, with services starting at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Paul Ray will officiate. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, Ralph’s family suggests memorials to the American Legion Post 20, Waterford, WI 53185.
