NANCY J. BRISCOE

Easter Lily      Nancy Jean Briscoe, 82, Burlington, died Sept. 21, 2016, in Fort Wayne, Ind., surrounded by family. She was born in Marinette on March 2, 1934, to the late Rollin and Dorothy Kleman. She attended Ella Court Grade School, Marinette Junior and Senior High School. She graduated from MCGH School of Nursing in 1955 and UW–Madison in 1960 with a BS in nursing.

She worked for the Milwaukee Health Department for four years, and then taught practical nursing to Chicago high school students for 35 years. She cherished the impact she was able to have on her student’s lives.

On March 24, 1961, she married Lyle Briscoe. Following marriage they lived in Chicago, Wilmette, and Northbrook before moving to Burlington in 1994. He preceded her in death after 52 years of marriage.

She was a Master Gardner and an active member of the Burlington Garden Club. She was a great cook and loved to entertain family and friends. Nancy was also a faithful Badgers, Brewers and Packers fan.

Survivors include her sister, Pat Lucas; and nieces, Pam Todd, Nancy White and Susan Lucas.

A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date.
