MARVIN H. DUNHAM

Easter Lily      Marvin H. Dunham, 94, Burlington, died March 21, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Troy Center on Sept. 9, 1921, to the late Floyd and Rose (Huth) Dunham.

He spent his early life in Burlington where he graduated from Burlington High School. Following high school he joined the Marines where he served in the 4th Marine Division during World War II.

On July 6, 1946, he married Jean Helen Schiller at St. Charles Catholic Church. They made their home in Burlington where they raised their family. She preceded him in death on Dec. 10, 2014, after 68 years of marriage.

He worked and retired from We Energies. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, was active with the Serra Club and was also captain of his bowling team. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was fishing, chopping wood, swimming or having a cookout. His greatest love came from spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his children, Susan Christman, Mary B. (Bob) LaBadie, Linda Greil; grandchildren, Danielle Christman, Ryan (Kristen) Christman, Eric Christman, Annie (Jim) Nehls, Brad (Emily) LaBadie, Marcus LaBadie, Adam (Emily) LaBadie, Bowen (Alisa) Greil, Jean Greil, Cody Dexter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lou Uebele, Ann Schiller and Jack Schiller.

He was further preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Kay Dunham; brother, Derral (Lou) Dunham; sister, Doris (Harold) Koch; and great-grandson, Dylan Pickard.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Catholic Church, 440 Kendall St., Burlington.

Services are Monday, March 28, at 10 a.m., at St. Charles Catholic Church with the Rev. Yamid Blanco officiating. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
