Leora Mae Horner, 85, Burlington, died March 24, 2016 at Burlington Health & Rehab Center.
She was born March 13, 1931, to the late Fred and Harriet (Ellsworth) Horner in Elkhorn. Her early life was spent in Elkhorn and Waterford, where she graduated from Waterford High School.
Following high school she attended Milwaukee Business College. She had resided in Burlington since 1994. She worked as a bookkeeper for Universal Furniture Mart in Milwaukee and then at N.E.L. in Burlington. She was a member of the English Settlement Church and the Women’s Society. She enjoyed reading and putting puzzles together.
Survivors include her sister, Linda Joy Horner; seven nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Ann Burg and Audrey Marie Horner.
The family has suggested memorials be made to The American Heart Association.
Funeral services are Monday, March 28, at 1 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on March 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
