Joyce J. Reesman, 81, Burlington, died peacefully on March 2, 2016, at Burlington Health & Rehab. She was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Burlington, to the late Dale and Judy May. She was a lifetime resident of Burlington and graduated from Burlington High School.
She worked at different jobs over the years but loved being a homemaker so she could care for her children. She was known as “Motocross Mom” and enjoyed going to rummage sales and playing with her dogs. She could always be found socializing and helping out her friends and neighbors.
Survivors include her children, Judy Schwartz, Jackie (Keith) Mischker, Steve Brown, Jason Reesman; grandchildren, Lance Brown, Nedra Brown, Cole Mischker, Emma Mischker; great-grandson, Jaxon Brown.
She was further preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Reesman, and brother, David May.
The family would like to thank Joyce’s neighbors for always watching over her and the staff at Burlington Health & Rehab for their wonderful care.
Mass of Christian Burial for Joyce will be celebrated Thursday, March 17, at 6 p.m., at St. Charles Catholic Church with the Rev. Yamid Blanco officiating. Visitation for family and friends is March 17 at church from 4-6 p.m. Burial will be private. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
