JAMES W. HINSHAW

Easter LilyJames W. Hinshaw, 80, Genoa City, died Feb. 26, 2016, while in the company of family members, at Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington.

He was born in Gary, Ind., on Aug. 14, 1935, to the late Clarence and Lucille (Pursley) Hinshaw.

He married Marge Kimball on June 24, 1961, in Genoa City. He was a member of Community Baptist Church of Silver Lake where he enjoyed playing the piano and was involved in Vacation Bible School. He was also an avid reader.

He earned an associate degree in advertising from Gateway Tech. He worked as a sales representative at Burlington Standard Press in Burlington, for many years. He also worked for Kuper Orthodontists in Paddock Lake. He eventually retired in 2014.

Survivors include his wife; daughter, Mary Esther (David) Wrobel, Lake Geneva; granddaughter, Lisa Hale, Lake Geneva; great-grandchildren, Martin and Aidan; sister, Rona Teague, Kansas City, Mo., nieces and nephews.

He was further preceded by his brothers, John and Charles.

Visitation is Thursday, March 3, from noon until the service at 2 p.m., at Community Baptist Church, 203 N. 4th St., Silver Lake, with the Rev. Clifford Hathcock officiating. Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home, Richmond, Ill., is serving the family.
