James L. Gier, 66, Union Grove, died Feb. 21, 2016, at his residence. He was born June 23, 1949, to the late Lowell and Sarah Gier in Baraboo. His early life was spent in Antioch, Ill., where he graduated from Antioch High School. He was previously employed at Regal China and Grove Gear.
He loved watching football and was an avid Packer fan. He also was a collector of classic model cars, especially the ones made by Jim Beam, which he had displayed at his home.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Gier.
Visitation is Saturday, Feb. 27, from 10 a.m. until noon, at Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home, 908 11th Ave., Union Grove.
