Gerald ‘Jerry’ M. Schweitzer, 72, Waterford, died Dec. 11, 2016. He was born July 1, 1944, to the late Milton and Rita Schweitzer. He was the oldest of six children and was always the protector of his siblings. He could pick on them but he made sure no one else would.
He grew up in Waterford and went to Waterford High School, where he met the love of his life Connie Tuinstra.
Jerry and Connie got married on May 3, 1962. They raised two wonderful sons and had many great years together. Jerry started working at Twin Disc of Racine when he was 19 and stayed there until he retired in his early 50s.
He loved golfing, fishing, traveling, but he loved spending time with his family the most, especially his grandchildren who he spoiled like crazy.
Jerry was extremely smart and generous; he always helped his family and friends in any way he could. He always took the time to make sure his family knew he loved them, whether it was a phone call, family dinners, or get-togethers.
Survivors include his loving wife: beloved sons, Randal Schweitzer and Adam (Cindi) Schweitzer; adoring grandchildren, Brooke Schweitzer and Thor Schweitzer; siblings, Mary (Len) Anderson, Julie Schweitzer, Steve (Kim) Schweitzer; sisters-in-law, Lil (Roger) Moulpied, Marge Zeiler, Bonnie (Rick) Lofgren, Jane (Tom) Arndt, Jean (Ken) Zeisse, Joan (Vic) Villarreal; extended family and friends.
He was further preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Myrtle Narlock; brothers, Douglas Schweitzer and Curtis Schweitzer; brother-in-law, John Zeiler.
Per Jerry’s request no service will be held. Integrity Funeral Services, Waterford, is serving the family.
