Georgann Belden, 88, died Aug. 5, 2016, at Grand Prairie Center, Kenosha, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Collinsville, Okla., on Aug. 17, 1927, to the late George and Anne Spring. She grew up in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood, went to Carleton College, where she met her husband of 49 years, Robert A. Belden of Racine.
Following their marriage, they settled in Rochester. They were summer residents of Boulder Junction, and part time residents of Sante Fe, N.M. She most recently resided in Racine.
Survivors include her children, Camille (Max Maerki), Albuquerque, N.M., Robert (Pamela), Waterford, Marcus (Donna Sands), Bristol; grandchildren, Pascual, Marcos, Elizabeth, Robert Daniel; great-grandchildren, Camille, Felix and Diego; and many friends.
She was further preceded in death by her husband, her brother, Frank Belfuss, and her sister, Edith Hermann.
A celebration of her life will be at a later date. Memorials suggested to Rochester Public Library or Camp Manito-wish YMCA, Boulder Junction, Wis.
Heritage Cremation Services served the family.
