FRANK C. DEAK III

Easter Lily      Frank Charles Deak III, 62, Franksville, died unexpectedly Nov. 8, 2016, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born in Burlington on April 24, 1954, to Frank and Margaret (Olds) Deak. He grew up in Waterford and upon graduating Waterford Union High School, attended Purdue University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture.

He married Tracey Laux in March of 1991. They lived in Wind Lake and then in their dream home in Kansasville before moving to Franksville.

He loved music and was involved in many bands and could play various instruments. He also enjoyed all things outdoors, especially snowmobile racing and vacationing in Ft. Myers Beach, Fla. He also enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing and skiing. He loved gardening and growing his own vegetables, but nothing came close to the love he had for owning Wind Lake Produce/Deak Sod Farms where he truly excelled. Frank was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife; children, Mandy (Jarred) Fiehweg, Emily (Sean) Lacey, Tyler and Megan; grandchildren, Carson, Macy, Molly, Avery, Jack, Emmett and Geddy; his father; brother, Richard (Kay) Deak; sisters, Christy (Dennis) Collins, Julie (Russ) Odders; nieces; nephews; relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents.

Visitation is Monday Nov. 14, from 4:30-6:45 p.m., at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W. Main St., Waterford, with services starting at 7 p.m. Burial is Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m., in St. Charles Cemetery, 900 W. State St., Burlington. Please meet at the cemetery. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, Frank’s family would appreciate memorials to the Deak family to be distributed according to Frank’s wishes.
