DOROTHY M. KRUEGER

Easter Lily   Dorothy M. Krueger, 93, Burlington, died peacefully at Ridgestone Gardens, Elkhorn. She was born in Elkhorn on Jan. 10, 1923, to the late Herman and Edna (Kehl) Bublitz. She spent her early life in Elkhorn before her family moved to Burlington where she graduated from Burlington High School.

On Nov. 7, 1942, she married Marvin E. Krueger at St. John’s Lutheran Church. They made their home in Burlington where they raised their family. Marvin preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 1999.

She was a lifelong resident of Burlington and worked as a cook at Burlington High School. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, was active with Lakeland Animal Shelter, volunteered at Burlington Hospital and was part of Wal-Co Campers.

Survivors include her children, Tracey L. (Chris) Krueger, Bradley L. (Rose) Krueger, and Wendy L. Pace; grandchildren, Megan Krueger, Jeff Krueger, Johnathon Krueger, Mike Krueger, Jason Fell, Ryan Fell and Tyson Fell; great grandchildren, Cole Krueger, Joanna Fell, Aislinn Fell, Gillian Fell, Charlie Fell, Owen Fell, Lucas Fell, Ryder Fell, Levi Fell; sister-in-law, Gladys Bublitz; her special friend, Ken Ellsworth; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Scott, and brother, Leonard Bublitz.

The family asks that memorials go to St. John’s Lutheran Church or Lakeland Animal Shelter.

A special thank you is extended to the staff at Ridgestone in Elkhorn and Compassus Hospice for their wonderful care.

A memorial service was May 9, at St. John’s Lutheran Church. The Rev. Kirk Lahmann officiated. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, served the family.
