DIETER O. KLUG

Easter Lily      Dieter O. Klug, 66, Burlington, died March 17, 2016, at Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington. He was born March 4, 1950, to the late Otto and Emmy (Lemke) Klug in Düsseldorf, Germany.

He moved to Burlington when he was two years old and had spent the rest of his life here. He graduated from Burlington High School. After high school he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

On Nov. 18, 1978, he married Maureen Foley at Burlington Methodist Church. By trade Dieter was a meat cutter, but also worked as a supervisor at Klement’s Sausage. He enjoyed golfing and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife; children, Kim (Brett) Nicol and Aaron Klug; grandchildren, Emily and Jackson Nicol and Aidan Klug; brothers and sisters-in-law; other close family and friends.

He was further preceded in death by his brother, Paul Klug.

In Lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials be made to the local Humane Society or Animal Rescue of your choice.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the ER staff at Aurora Burlington Hospital, their neighbors Barb, Rick and Missy for their care and compassion.

Funeral Services are Sunday, March 20, at 2 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Family Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on March 20, from noon-2 p.m., at the funeral home.
