DEBORAH FINDLEY

Easter Lily      Deborah Findley, 61, Wautoma, died peacefully in her home on Sept. 4, 2016, surrounded by family and friends. She was born Sept. 3, 1955, in Burlington to the late Charles and Phyllis Robers.

She grew up with and is survived by six siblings. She excelled at school and chose to pursue a career in nursing. At age 20, she gave birth to her only child, Rebecca (Hellen). She fell in love and married her husband, Dennis Findley on Dec. 18, 1981.

She spent many years being an avid reader, expanding her knowledge of her chosen vocation, traveling to many locations, such as Great Britain, Europe, Hawaii, and Alaska. She was always very supportive of her family, especially her five grandkids. She chose to end her career as a nurse at the VA hospital, caring for our nations veterans.

Survivors include her husband; daughter, Rebecca (Charles) Hellen; grandchildren, Aiden, Asiah, Gabe, Kaitlyn, and Jacob; siblings, Shirley (Harry) Mason, James (Doris) Robers, Peggy Albert, Daniel (Carol) Robers, Douglas Robers, and Lori (Kevin) Berris; her best friend and heart sister, Linda Dickerson. She will be also dearly missed by all of her nieces, nephews, and family friends.

She was further preceded in death by her brother, Charles Martin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma, with the Rev. David Greskowiak officiating. Visitation is at church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. Leikness Funeral Home of Wautoma is serving the family.
