Robert David Bailey, 60, Gilbert, Ariz., formerly Burlington, died suddenly June 3, 2015, in Gilbert. He was born Aug. 24, 1954, in Elgin, Ill, to the late Robert and Shirley Bailey.
He was a 1972 graduate of Grayslake High School and worked for Nestle for 28 years, where he retired in 2012. He and his wife, Michelle, were den leaders for Cub Scout Den 381 in Wheatland, when their boys were younger. He enjoyed gardening, computers, radio controlled helicopters and good food. He loved retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle (Graham) Bailey, whom he married Oct. 18, 1985; children, Robert J. Bailey, East Troy, CMSgt Jamie (Yoko) Vanoss, Vacaville, Calif., Brad Vanoss, New Munster; grandchildren, Sayako, Mayako and Cora Vanoss; brother-in-law, Charles Gillespie, Cayce, S.C.
He was further preceded in death by his sister, Linda Gillespie.
Graveside services were June 8, at Evergreen Cemetery. A visitation was held before the service at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, Barrington, Ill.
