Richard Heiligenthal

Easter Lily      Richard Heiligenthal, 73, Lyons, died Dec. 23, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 7, 1941, to the late Donald and Mildred (Martin) Heiligenthal.

He attended grade school at St. Joseph’s, Lyons, and graduated from St. Mary’s in Burlington. He was a lifelong farmer with his dad. After retiring from farming in 1989 he worked at Monark. He remained on the family farm until his passing.

His hobbies included bowling, fishing, golfing, playing cards, Yahtzee and Farkle with his sister-in-law Loretta.

Survivors include his loving wife Marjorie (Kinney) Heiligenthal; son, Scot Heiligenthal; grandchildren, Faith, Aaliyah, Gage, Hope, Dane, and Paige; brothers, Stan (Jean), Burlington, Roger (Mary), Anchorage, Alaska; sisters, Janet (Robert) Todd, Mission, Texas, Janice (Paul) Webberson, Las Vegas, Donna (Patrick) Busch, Elkhorn; brothers-in-law, Marvin (Sharon), Williams Bay, William (Tammy), Lyons, Harvey, Lyons, Jeffery (Jane) Kinney, Delavan; sisters-in-law, Loretta Merten, Fennimore, Marie (Eugene) Sween, Elkhorn, Annette (David) Schuler, Beloit, Claire (Kenneth) Nendza, Delavan, Patricia (Kenneth) Dade, Pell Lake, Maxine (James) Clausen, Lake Geneva, Peggy (Charles) Nendza, Lake Geneva, and Virginia Frederick, Lake Geneva.

He was further preceded in death by (infant) Steven Webberson, Marvin Sr. and Shirley Kinney, Edgar Merten, and Clariese Kinney.

There will be a service Jan. 17, at St. Joe’s Church, Lyons, with a visitation from 10 a.m. to noon. A memorial Mass will start at noon with a luncheon to follow. Integrity Funeral Services, Waterford, is serving the family.
