MARION R. LOIS

Easter Lily      Marion R. Lois, 91, Burlington, died peacefully at her home on Oct. 26, 2015. She was born in Racine on Sept. 19, 1924, to the late Edgar and Minnie (Henningfield) Schiller. She had been a lifetime resident of Burlington and attended St. Charles Grade School, graduating from St. Mary’s High School.

On May 10, 1947, at St. Charles Catholic Church, she married Richard H. Lois. He preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1995.

She was a homemaker and had worked for Krumbachs Doll Factory and was an operator for Burlington, Brighton, Wheatland Telephone Co. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, the VFW Auxiliary, Daughters of Isabella, St. Anne’s Society and was a proud grandmother who enjoyed playing bingo, traveling and dining out.

Survivors include her children, Daniel Lois, Joann Lois, Deborah Lois, Donna (Tim) Bartelson, Mary Lois and Laurie Lois, all Burlington; grandchildren, Deanna, Christopher (Kathy), Pamela and Brett (Amanda); siblings, Lou Uebele and Jack Schiller; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her sons, Arthur, Gregory and Mark; siblings, Bernice (Bill) Pieters, Jean Dunham, Joan (Bill) Pablocki, Ronald (Virginia) Schiller, Walter (Darlene) Schiller, Harold (Joan) Schiller, Dick (Annie) Schiller and Jimmy Schiller.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m., at St. Charles Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gene Nowak presiding. Visitation is Oct. 29, from 4-6 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. Burial is Friday, Oct. 30, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Charles Cemetery.
