LEON F. BUSCH

Easter Lily      Leon F. Busch, 85, Richmond, Ill., died May 27, 2015, at Burr Oak Manor, Genoa City. He was born in Burlington on Nov. 23, 1929, to the late Bernard and Frances (Robers) Busch.

He was a graduate of Richmond High School and scored the first touchdown in school history.

He married Patricia Stilling on May 30, 1956, at St. Joseph Church in Richmond.

He worked as a carpenter for Tonyan Construction and Charles Heelein Co., for over 45 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Richmond. He loved bird watching, fishing, hunting, lawn care and outdoor activities. He also enjoyed Native American history.

Survivors include his wife Patricia of 59 years; daughters, Susan (Kenneth) Fanter, Crystal Lake, Ill., Valerie Busch-Zurlant, Chicago, Marie (Daniel) Sutton, Spring Grove, Ill., Charlene (John) Bedrosian, Glen Ellyn, Ill.; sons, Joseph (Caroline) Busch, Spring Grove, Ill., Nicholas (Lisa) Busch, Phillips, Wis., Jerome Busch, Woodstock, Ill.; sisters, Evelyn Elfmann, Richmond, Patricia Miller, Spring Grove, and Jeanette Vierke, McHenry, Ill.

He was further preceded by a sister, Delores Walker and three brothers James, Theodore and John J. Busch.

Mass of Resurrection was May 30, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Richmond, with Msgr. Martin Heinz officiating. Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Richmond. Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home Richmond, served the family.
