KARL J. ANDERSON

Easter Lily      Karl J. Anderson, 74, Burlington, died June 30, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital, Milwaukee. He was born on Nov. 12, 1940, in Ashland, to the late Royal and Margaret (Stadler) Anderson. He spent his early life in Ashland where he attended school.

From 1959 to 1964 he served in the U.S. Army where he drove convoys in France and while in Germany he was part of the team that protected the Berlin Wall.

In 1962, in Racine, he married Theresa McCarthy. After 24 years of marriage they divorced. He then met Betty Ross who was his partner for over 30 years.

He had been a Burlington resident for over 45 years. He worked as a supervisor for J.I. Case for 32 years and also worked at Walco for 12 years. He enjoyed putzing around the house, hunting, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his daughter, Michele (Daniel) Wheeler; stepchildren, Sally Ross, Peter Ross, Betty Schuetz, Chester (Pam) Ross and Christina (Edward) Fox; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard Anderson, George (Bonita) Anderson, Paul (Dorothy) Anderson, Donnie Anderson, Elizabeth (Doug) Dickrell, Ronald (Dawn) Anderson, Gordy Anderson, Alvin (Sandy) Anderson and Arlene (Greg) Gustafson.

He was further preceded in death by his son, Todd Anderson; life partner, Betty Ross; infant sister, Margaret; brothers, Jerry Anderson and Mark Anderson.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at St. Francis Hospital, especially Dr. Khatri and Dr. John Kramer.

Visitation is Saturday, July 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, & Crematory, 625 S. Browns Lake Drive, Burlington.
