Gary M. Vinz, 61, Waterford, died unexpectedly at home on May 28, 2015. He was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 11, 1953, to the late Edwin and Hildegarde (Trick) Vinz. At an early age his family moved to Waterford where Gary graduated from high school. He was a mechanic and ‘fix all’ handyman person, willing to help anyone. He worked for Nestlé, Central GMC, Miller Brewing, and Tapco (Traffic and Parking Control, Inc.)
His greatest enjoyment was caring for his two grandbabies. He also enjoyed hunting and spending time up north, fishing with his son Eric, or tinkering with anything mechanical. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his son Eric (Carrie Mittelstaedt) Vinz; daughter, Heather Vinz; beautiful grandchildren, Aiden and Owen Vinz; siblings, Dona (Mark) Grebe, Terry Vinz, Sherri (Steve) Kominiak, Dan Vinz, Bonnie (Peter) Lukas, Michael (Gina) Vinz, Dale Vinz, Nancy (Tim) Szeklinski; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are June 1, at 3 p.m., at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W. Main St., Waterford. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Waterford.
