Florence J. Hintz, 83, Burlington, died July 12, 2015, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints in Racine. She was born March 31, 1932, to Gilbert and Eleanor (Kominiak) Evans in Wheatland. Her early life was spent in Wheatland. She attended Burlington High School.
On Sept. 19, 1952, she married the late Maximillian Hintz in Aberdeen, Md. Following marriage they resided in Burlington. She first worked for Murphy’s Products, then was a homemaker spending time raising her family and later went to work for Nestles. She enjoyed gardening and spending time in the kitchen cooking. More than anything she treasured the time spent with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Mary Sue (George) Mueller, Sturtevant, Max Hintz, Edina, Minn., Dean (Tracy) Hintz, Spring Prairie, Laird Hintz, Burlington; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was further preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Mayer, and brother, Ray Evans.
Memorials for Florence to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. are suggested.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 16, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with the Rev. Yamid Blanco officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, July 15, from 4-7 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Family Funeral Home, 625 S. Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. Burial will follow the service in St. Charles Cemetery.
