He was an avid sailor sailing his Hobie Cat on Lake Geneva. He loved bare boat charters in the Virgin Islands with his family. Survivors include his daughter, Cecilia Brink Hasert; sister, Mariken (Dan) Deist; aunt, Louise Bandsma; nephews, Harrison and Chase Deist; and many extended family members in the Netherlands.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the family to assist with Cecilia’s higher education would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank the Lake Geneva Police Department and Rescue Squad for their assistance during this time.

Services for Duco are Sunday, Jan. 4, at 1 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, with the Rev. Bob Wang officiating. Visitation is at the funeral home on Jan. 4, from 11 a.m., until the time of the service.
