Deloris ‘Dee’ Christensen, 93, Burlington, died Dec. 17, 2015, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Elkhorn.
She was born Sept. 29, 1922, in Chicago, to the late William and Theresa (Klein) Finucane. She spent her early life in Chicago where she attended school.
On July 29, 1943, in Burlington, she married Kenneth S. Christensen. They lived in Burlington until 1987 when they moved to Stevens Point, moving back to Burlington in 1999. Ken preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1998.
She worked at Radio Crystal Manufacturing and Northern Engineering, retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Burlington, and the Royal Neighbors of America and was very active with Stevens Point Senior Center. She loved to sew, read, play cards and always enjoyed her Finucane family gatherings and was very involved in researching their genealogy.
Survivors include her children, Christine (Al) Osborn, Kenneth (Kirsten) Christensen, James (Sue) Christensen; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
She was further preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara McCumber; siblings, Theresa (Edward) Sorensen, John (Margaret) Finucane, William (Evelyn) Finucane, Maggie (William) Norris, Pete (Lenora) Finucane, Lester (Marion) Finucane, Clarence (Gloria) (Sira) Finucane, Lucille (John) Mayer, Eileen (Ed) Dedriksen, Ray (Evelyn) Finucane, Shirley (Harold) Kramer and Edward and Daniel Finucane in infancy.
Services are Sunday, Jan. 3, at 3 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, with the Rev. Joe Debski officiating. Visitation for family and friends is Jan. 3, from 1-3 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial is Monday, Jan. 4, at Burlington Cemetery at 10 a.m.
