Connie Jean Rasmussen, 75, Waterford, died May 28, 2015, at Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington.
She was born Feb. 6, 1940, to the late Lester and Jean (Poniatowski) Cochran in Racine. Her early life was spent in Racine and Burlington area where she attended and graduated from Burlington High School and Gateway.
She previously had been employed at Nestles, in the accounting department. She was a member of the Burlington Garden Club and Book Club, enjoyed painting, sewing, and quilting. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Jerald (Leslie) R. Rasmussen, Cathy J. Klug and James D. Rasmussen; sisters, Danna L. Olson and Colleen J. (Don) Bresina; grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her sister, Diane Rueter.
In honor of Connie, the family has suggested memorials be made to your local Humane Society.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to doctors and nurses at Burlington Hospital for their compassion and care.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
