CLARA A. SCHOOF

Easter Lily      Clara A. (Polivka) Schoof, 88, died Oct. 26, 2015, at Angel’s Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc.

She married the love of her life, Robert, in November of 1952.

Very early in life, she was a legal secretary, but moved on to homemaking. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved to travel and if at all nearby, patronized casinos, however, she was not a “High Roller.” She lived many years wheelchair bound without complaint.

Survivors include her husband; children, Fred (Suzanne), Linda (Tom) Konitzer, Richard (Michelle), and Roger (Kathy); 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie (Emmett) Welky, Cecelia (Jack) Dunfee; brothers, Chester and Walter (Gwendolyn) Polivka; sister-in-law, Marion Bezold; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Anna Polivka; brothers, John and Joseph; sisters, Rosie Kukura and Alice Mastie; five brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law.

Visitation is Monday, Nov. 2, from 4-6 p.m., at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W. Main St., Waterford. There will also be a visitation Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 10-11 a.m., with Mass beginning at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, S89 W22650 Milwaukee Ave., Big Bend. Burial will follow services in Caldwell Cemetery.

In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, the family suggests memorials to either St. Joseph’s Church, The Door County Land Trust or a charity of your choice.
