Christine Cathrine Vogt Loew (Orlowski), 76, died unexpectedly, but peacefully on Jan. 5, 2015.
She was born Oct. 2, 1938, in Wauwatosa, to the late Joseph and Helen Orlowski.
She married Gordon J. Vogt Jr. in December 1956 and Robert E. Loew in June 1964. He preceded her in death.
She retired after 22-½ years of dedicated service to Wauwatosa School District Central Kitchen and more recently from Waterford School District Food and Nutrition Services.
She loved to sew, garden, and scrapbook (especially loved her Frank Sinatra scrapbooks). She also enjoyed her many casino bus trips, but most of all loved to spend time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Deborah (Vogt) (Hollis) Puza, Ixonia, Douglas Loew, Farmington, Minn., and Diane (Loew) Hernitz, Waterford; grandchildren, Cooper and Jaxon Loew, Cheyenne and Sierra Hernitz; relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Orlowski, and sister, Patricia Lutz.
There will be a memorial gathering on Friday, Jan. 16, from 4-6 p.m., at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W. Main St., Waterford. Services will follow at 6 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial is Monday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m., at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7301 Nash St., Milwaukee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
